The 50-th Vernadsky/Brown Microsymposium
We wish to invite you to participate in the 50-th Vernadsky-Brown Microsymposium, which will be held at the Vernadsky Institute, Moscow, Russia, on October 12-14, 2009.
As usual the Microsymposium will have a scientifically broad scope covering different areas of planetary science and related issues. The Chairman of the Organizing Committee is Dr. Alexander Basilevsky, Vernadsky Institute.
The deadline for abstract submission is September 5, 2009. Abstracts of your talks of up to 2 pages long made
LPSC A4 page format
may be sent electronically either using
our upload web-form
or sent to e-mail . By the same date, please inform us of the type of presentation you would like to give: oral (10-15 minutes plus 10-15 minutes for Russian translation) or poster.
Conference it is planned to discuss various problems of Comparative Planetology,
among them are:
Any topics related to planetary science are
geological, tectonic, geochemical, mineralogical mapping of Solar
processing of space experiment data, analyses of remote sensing and
contact measurements on the surface;
study of extraterrestrial materials;
analysis of geological and petrogenic evolution of
study of meteorite bombardment and other impact related
planning of planetary science experiments and
selection and geological characterization of the landing
experimental and mathematical simulation of planetary matter
Oral, poster and discussion sessions are
planned. The working language of the Conference is English.
